Angela Merkel Chancellor of Germany and the leader of the Christian Democratic Union, paid a visit to No10 Downing street as part of a one day tour of the UK. The Prime Minister greeted the Chancellor in front of the worlds press and then escorted her for a drink inside. The Deputy Prime Minister, Nick Clegg also had dicussions with the Chancellor.
A press conferance was then held of which the Prime Minister and the Chancellor both attended.
