Vocal Europe is looking for an intern with knowledge in EU funding and grants, to join its Brussels office team from the 25th March 2019.

Vocal Europe is a Brussels-based Think-Tank dedicated to research and communication in Europe and its neighborhood. Through high-quality content and original analyses provided by its contributors, Vocal Europe takes a closer look at developments related to Iran, Israel, Russia, Turkey, and the Western Balkans. Along with its research programs, event series, Monday Talks, and Vocal Cast;  Vocal Europe also makes powerful use of its social media tools- Twitter – Facebook, and it provides research and analysis on current debates in European affairs. Our interns are an integral part of our team. Team projects are all-hands-on-deck. The positions are unpaid, but candidates will have the opportunity to gain valuable skills, experience, and professional knowledge.

We pride ourselves on being an independent unaffiliated entity, which seeks to encourage genuine debate on EU policies. As such we are looking for an energetic intern, with an academic background in funding schemes, to help identify the best financing opportunities, available to us.  This internship will also consist of support and assistance in the publication, communication, and advocacy activities of Vocal Europe.

The duration of the internship will be 3 months, i.e. from 25th March 2019 to 28th June 2019. The period can be further extended for an additional month.

Successful candidates will have a solid background and passions for European funding programmes, an entrepreneurial ethos, and a collegial spirit while also being an effective communicator and enjoying the fast pace of learning and growing in an organization. Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks are key requirements. Any relevant professional experience will be considered an advantage.

Requested Qualifications:

*Must be a Master or equivalent.

*Must demonstrate knowledge of EU funding and grants.

*Must possess excellent writing and editing skills in English.

*Proficiency in other European language is highly preferred.

*Must be a fast learner, proactive, creative, able to work independently
