As part of our Vocal Cast series, we have interviewed Cengiz Aktar who is a professor of political science at the University of Athens and a columnist for Ahval. Among many other issues, we discussed the way in which the European Union can further instrumentalize IPA Funds (Pre-Accession Funds) not only for the existing civil society but also for the dismissed civil society representatives. Moreover, we talked about the challenges that both civic and political opposition face in terms of cooperation, as well as the upcoming local elections in Turkey, scheduled to take place on 31st of March 2019.
