In today’s episode we are joined by Moniek de Jong, one of the leading scholars on the international contestation of the Nord-Stream 2 pipeline project. Ms de Jong is currently finishing her PhD thesis at Ghent University and is a sought-after expert on the topic that keeps diplomats awake at night. At the core of our conversation were pipeline-related diplomatic tensions in the transatlantic relations, the potential of Nord-Stream 2 as bargaining chip vis-à-vis Russia and we elaborated on environmental arguments voiced in support of the pipeline.
