Despite the fact that international migration can bring substantial gains for migrants, their countries of origin, and the countries to which they migrate, we observe various stereotypes and misconceptions about migration in public discourse or policy-making area. In order to combat stigmatisation of migrants and minority groups, it is crucial to foster intercultural dialogue and mutual understanding and give opportunity for participation to youth.

Therefore, five partner organisations from across Europe have implemented a project called TAS – Thesis, Antithesis, Synthesis – Migration Labs. This project, funded by the EU program “Europe for Citizens,” has engaged youth and relevant stakeholders in the field of migration, addressed migration narratives from different perspectives and focused on civic and democratic participation at the EU level. As a result, young participants prepared and presented their recommendations to the EU policy-makers during the Final Conference. To conclude the efforts for reaching out diverse audiences, the planned Multiplier Event will target experts with various backgrounds related to migration and youth, to share opinions from a professional perspective.

The Multiplier event will be in an online format, providing a discussion platform for participants from different countries.
