Robert Petraru

Robert Petraru is a research trainee at Vocal Europe. He holds a bachelor degree in European Studies and now is currently studying Public Policy and Human Development. His main interests lie in the Eastern Partnership, development policy and EU’s common foreign and security policy. He is fluent in English and Romanian and he has a good command of Spanish.

Pavel Vanev

Pavel Vanev is a researcher at Vocal Europe. He holds a bachelor degree in International Relations and History from Loughborough University (UK) and a master degree in History of International Relations from the London School of Economics and Political Science (UK).


On the 6th March 2019, Vocal Europe organised an expert panel discussion on the future of EU-Turkey relations under the question “Can the European Union remain connected to Turkey?”.  The central part of the debate aimed to address the current contentious status of the Brussels-Ankara relationship, whilst outlining potential courses of rethinking/re-imagining the nature of the interactions both in the short and long term. The underlying theme revolved around Turkey’s place in the EU policies.
