Ilyas Akça is a Master’s student in International Politics at KU Leuven University. In his thesis, Ilyas studies the deadlock in the natural gas crisis of the eastern Mediterranean in light of the Complex Interdependence Theory. Research interests lie in Energy Security, the Geopolitics of Energy, and Turkey-EU relations. Ilyas speaks Turkish, English and has a basic knowledge of French and Spanish.
